Short-term forecastIssued by the National Weather Service at 4:10 am CST on November 21, 2008
regional weather discussion... Early this morning...a region of cold air and high pressure covered the central United States. The coldest air was located along the pressure ridge...where winds were very light from northwest Oklahoma toward eastern Kansas. At 4 am...the coldest reading was 15 degrees at gage Oklahoma. Teens and lower 20s were reported throughout northern and western Oklahoma. Farther south...winds averaged 5 to 10 mph...and temperatures were in the middle 20s to low 30s. Wichita Falls and Goodlett Texas both reported 26 degrees. Wind speeds will diminish even further as sunrise approaches...and this should allow temperatures to drop even a few more degrees.
