The storms were forming in and close to a cold front and outflow boundaries. As storms form...they will drift slowly to the south and southeast. Very heavy rainfall...with hourly rates between 1 and 2 inches...will occur with the stronger storms. Wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph will also be possible. Through 7 PM...the best chance for rain will be near and roughly 40 miles south of Interstate 40.
