... Red flag warning in effect from noon today to 6 PM CST this
evening...
The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from noon today to 6 PM CST this
evening.
A northwest wind will increase this afternoon between 20 and 25
mph along with some gusts up to 35 mph. The combination of the
strong and gusty wind with afternoon relative humidities below 30
percent will result in extreme fire danger this afternoon...
generally along and west of a Bowie... Granbury... to Temple line.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and dry vegetation will
create explosive fire growth potential. Avoid all outside burning
and welding today. Do not toss lit cigarette Butts outside.
Report wild fires to the nearest Fire Department or law
enforcement office.
