Fire Weather Warning
Issued by the National Weather Service at 9:55 PM CST on March 9, 2010

... Red flag warning in effect from 10 am to 6 PM CST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from 10 am to 6 PM CST Wednesday.
The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

Southwest winds will range from 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30
mph. Afternoon humidities will fall below 30 percent as high
temperatures reach the low to mid 70s. These
weather conditions in conjunction with dry fuels will create a
critical fire weather danger.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and dry vegetation will
create explosive fire growth potential. Avoid all outside burning
and welding today. Do not toss lit cigarette Butts outside.
Report wild fires to the nearest Fire Department or law
enforcement office.
